I have been a Registered Nurse for 23 years and a Licensed Massage Therapist for 7 years.  When I began my practice in nursing, I learned that touch helped ease the pain and suffering of those I cared for.  That simple act of physical contact on another human being offered more comfort than most of the medications I administered.

I began my journey of studying bodywork in 2003 when I had the great fortune to become certified in Watsu, warm water aquatic therapy.  I learned the profound impact that another could experience when being floated in a warm pool.  Watsu means "Water Shiatsu".  Shiatsu, the Japanese form of massage, is the application of light pressure on specific points of the body.  These two forms of treatment are the basis of my work.  (Shiatsu is also perfomred on a massage table).

I have over 2000 hours of training and certification in various modalities of massage such as Swedish, Reflexology, Myofascial Release, Healing Touch, and of course Shiatsu.  I am extremely passionate and dedicated to the practice of massage therapy and beleive that my work will enhance and promote a sense of well being to those who I am fortunate enough to work with.

If you would like to experience a Watsu session, I will be able to provide that service at a private outdoor pool that will be warmed to 92-94 degrees for the session.  I am available to come to your homes with my massage table to offer massage therapy sessions.  The cost of a 60 minute session is $90.00.
